Energy Markets Analyst

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an internal expert on market rules and requirements in wholesale and retail energy programs across the country.
- Partner with the Operations team to ensure client assets are appropriately registered in contracted markets and programs and meet ongoing compliance requirements.
- Work with the Data Science team to develop market price forecasts and asset bidding strategies.
- Maximize asset profitability by executing market participation strategies for renewable and storage assets in energy, ancillary services, and capacity markets.
- Monitor market trends through analyses of historical and real-time market data.
- Partner with Finance to develop financial forecasts and models related to market participation.
- Develop and maintain reports detailing asset financial and operational performance.
- Support Sales and Marketing efforts with insights and analyses on market participation strategies.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Education
- BA/BS in a financial or analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel or other analytical tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and thrive working in a variety of capacities across the company.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

- Direct experience working in the energy industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of wholesale power market mechanics and regulatory structures.
- Familiarity with renewable energy or battery storage development and operations.
