10-month contract What's a typical day as a Customer Service Representative? You will: Communicate with customers by telephone or in person to provide product or service information, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, and resolve inquiries or complaints. Provide services such as license, registration, title, permit, or program eligibility information as required. Ensure that appropriate solutions or changes are made to effectively resolve customer issues. Keep accurate records of customer interactions and transactions, documenting details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken. Resolve service or billing complaints, perform activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, or adjusting bills. Complete contract forms, prepare change of address records, and issue service discontinuance orders using computer systems. Refer unresolved customer grievances to appropriate departments for further investigation. Determine and communicate charges for requested services, collect deposits or payments, and arrange for billing as needed. Proactively contact customers regarding inquiries, investigation results, or planned adjustments. Perform journey level customer service activities and use discretion when handling sensitive information and complex complaints. Conduct research, compile and analyze information, and interpret policies to resolve customer issues. Periodically handle receipts, reconcile cash, and prepare deposits for the bank or state treasurer's office. This job might be an outstanding fit if you have: Experience in customer service, call centers, or related fields (preferred) Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive customer information or complex issues Strong communication and problem-solving skills Basic computer proficiency and data entry experience High school diploma or accredited GED (required) Cash handling, reconciliation, or related experience (a plus) What happens next:
