Overview
Rocky Mountain Air Solutions is hiring for Customer Service Representative positions at our Salt Lake City location. This role combines a variety of activities related to counter and inside sales activities with a focus on selling industrial gases and welding supplies via phone and walk-in interactions. Your main responsibilities will focus on assisting customers with their accounts (taking payment, addressing invoice concerns, updating contact information, reviewing cylinder balances, etc.), troubleshooting complex issues with customer processes/needs, completing warehouse related activities such as cycle counting, shipping and receiving of product, and supporting the branch delivery driver role via logistical support and sometimes back-up delivery driving. Our team works well together and will require candidates to demonstrate dependability, accuracy in transactions, professional in interactions, skilled in follow up, enjoyment in process adherence, and experience in managing customer accounts including receivables. We will train you to learn our products - compressed and liquefied gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon, acetylene, etc.), stick/MIG/TIG welding machines, filler metals and related items. We will also train you to meet the needs of customers and team members alike. You have to be ready to grab opportunity and build your career.
Responsibilities
Assist customers with their accounts (taking payment, addressing invoice concerns, updating contact information, reviewing cylinder balances, etc.).
Troubleshoot complex issues with customer processes and needs.
Complete warehouse related activities such as cycle counting, shipping and receiving of product.
Support the branch delivery driver role via logistical support and sometimes back-up delivery driving.
Demonstrate dependability, accuracy in transactions, professionalism in interactions, strong follow-up, and adherence to process while managing customer accounts including receivables.
Learn about products and services related to compressed and liquefied gases, welding machines, filler metals and related items.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required
Ability to pay close attention to detail in paperwork
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well both independently and within a team
Physical movement (lifting, rolling, maneuvering) of products including moving atmospheric gas cylinders with a cart and boxes of 60 pound wire
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Logistic Details
Your first year is spent completing a rotational training program designed to give you robust understanding of the business and ability to complete your daily responsibilities. You will travel to other branches as part of training – the company pays your travel expenses.
You will obtain your CDL B license with your HAZMAT endorsement within 90 days of hire – this redundancy is a requirement for all roles relating to customers
Hours worked are based on customer service coverage needs for the branch and will be within a Monday-Friday schedule of normal daytime hours.
On-call responsibilities held within branch rotation. This is not a customer base with a high demand for after-hours assistance.
