Overview
Rocky Mountain Air Solutions is hiring for a Customer Service Representative at our Orem, Utah location. This role combines counter and inside sales activities with a focus on selling industrial gases and welding supplies via phone and walk-in interactions. You will assist customers with their accounts (taking payment, addressing invoice concerns, updating contact information, reviewing cylinder balances, etc.), troubleshoot complex issues with customer processes/needs, complete warehouse activities (cycle counting, shipping and receiving), and support the branch delivery driver role via logistical support and occasional back-up delivery driving.
Responsibilities
Assist customers with accounts, payments, invoice concerns, contact information updates, and cylinder balance reviews.
Troubleshoot complex customer process/needs issues.
Complete warehouse activities including cycle counting, shipping and receiving.
Support branch delivery operations with logistical support and back-up delivery driving when needed.
Demonstrate dependability, accuracy in transactions, professional interactions, effective follow-up, adherence to processes, and experience in managing customer accounts including receivables.
Learn products (compressed and liquefied gases: oxygen, nitrogen, argon, acetylene, etc.), welding machines (stick/MIG/TIG), filler metals, and related items.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required.
Ability to pay close attention to detail in paperwork.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Physical ability to move products, including moving atmospheric gas cylinders with a cart and handling boxes of 60-pound wire.
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
Logistics
Your first year is spent in a rotational training program to understand the business and daily responsibilities; travel to other branches is required during training, and the company pays travel expenses.
You will obtain your CDL B license with HAZMAT endorsement within 90 days of hire; this is a requirement for all roles relating to customers.
Hours are based on branch customer service coverage and will be Monday–Friday during normal daytime hours.
On-call responsibilities are part of branch rotation; this is not a high-demand after-hours customer base.
Salary and Benefits
Starting pay $24-26/hour depending on experience.
