Customer Service Representative at PetVet Care Centers

PetVet Care Centers’ PetVax Complete Care Centers East Memphis is welcoming a new Customer Service Representative to join our team. Our mission is to improve the lives of animals and people by providing exceptional and compassionate care at every stage.

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative / Receptionist supports a high‑performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Duties include administrative and customer‑service tasks that support the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service in‑person, over the phone, and during high‑stress situations.

Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments.

Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well‑being.

Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products.

Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.

Assist with retail sales, weigh pets, process faxes, and maintain records.

Reconcile cash drawer and perform end‑of‑day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications (Required)

High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

At least 6 months CSR experience (any field).

Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records.

Excellent customer service skills with courteous and prompt assistance.

Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities.

Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

One year of experience in animal care.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Some Tuesdays, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Some Saturdays, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Pay Range

$14—$16 USD
