Save Job

WHAT WE DO Instrumentum is an innovative provider of off-site surgical instrument sterilization, transportation, storage, and loaner tray logistics, serving health systems and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). With the recent acquisitions of early market movers in this space, we are growing a national footprint with a mission to disrupt a traditionally fragmented and under-digitized sterile processing industry. We are scaling rapidly to address the rising demand for elective surgeries and streamlined sterile processing services.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? Sterilization Processing Departments (SPDs) are one of the most important and yet most overlooked areas of a hospital or surgery center. This is a critical and growing problem as staffing shortages, poorly maintained facilities, and failure to adhere to the standards required to ensure patient and staff safety are increasing costs and potentially putting lives at risk. Even though sterilization is central to providing surgeries, it is often an afterthought for most facilities. The people that work in the SPD know it, and the deteriorating morale of the SPD workforce is adding to the decrease in sterilization competency.

Sterilization is ALL we do. Our people are the core of our company, and we treat them accordingly – like the rockstars they are. We’ve invested heavily in our facilities, equipment, and processes, and we do it right. Every time. We hire the best, and we don’t have to look far. The best SPD technicians and coordinators love what they do, and they want to work in a place where they are valued. That place is Instrumentum.

WHAT WE NEED At Instrumentum, the Regional Director of Sterile Processing is a strategic and operational leader responsible for the performance, consistency, and leadership development of sterile processing teams across multiple sites within a defined region – in this case, the Richmond, Virginia market.

You’ll connect the day-to-day realities of sterile processing with the broader regional strategy – creating structure, clarity, and accountability across multiple facilities, partners, and leadership teams.

This is not a shift leadership role, and it is not confined to one department. It is a regional leadership position responsible for building strong local leaders, ensuring consistent performance, and elevating sterile processing operations across an entire market.
