Trainee, Merchandising, Fine Jewelry & Timepieces

Reports To:

Director, Merchandising, Fine Jewelry & Timepieces

JOB PURPOSE: The Dior Corporate Trainee participates in a program designed to identify and develop future talent for the organization. By working closely with their assigned Department, the Trainee supports the organization's short and long-term objectives through day-to-day administrative and long-term project work. Trainees across departments will collaborate to develop initiatives to improve business results and present a project to the Executive Leadership Team. The Merchandising Trainee is responsible for supporting the department in managing the business strategy for the Americas Boutiques. Main responsibilities include reporting and recaps, product tool creation, competitive market analysis, supporting the buying process, and distribution in accordance with total company vision. They will work closely with core and high-end merchandising managers.

Responsibilities Job responsibilities

Merchandising Functions

Review and support daily and weekly sales reporting, including Excel-based store and business recaps, with tracking against sales targets

Assist with weekly stock rebalances and consolidations to optimize product coverage

Partner closely with Retail teams on day-to-day product inquiries and stock requests

Manage client orders and ensure timely execution and delivery, including confirmed sales, buybacks, and special orders

Develop a strong understanding of market needs and contribute to competitor analysis

Support the creation of seasonal launch tools, including launch packs, mappings, and selling materials

Support domestic and international Jewelry events through the creation of client portfolios and product sheets

Participate in local FJ&T events as needed, including event preparation, inventory coordination, and onsite support of selling teams

Contribute ideas and insights to support overall business strategy

Reporting Functions

Support Merchandising team on weekly reporting and ad-hoc analysis

Prepare and provide analysis on fast/slow sellers and sell-thru report

Qualifications SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Strong attention to detail with consistent follow-through

Excellent organizational skills with a results-driven mindset

Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work cross-functionally and build meaningful relationships

Analytical and creative thinker; able to think outside the box when assessing business needs

Technical aptitude to operate and manage merchandising systems and retail programs

Flexible and agile; able to adapt quickly to changing business needs and prioritize effectively to maximize time and efficiency

REQUIREMENTS:

At least 6 months of prior Merchandising/Buying work or internship experience, luxury retail Women's experience preferred; strong working knowledge of Retail Math and Retail critical metrics

Full-time, 12-month program from July 2026 through July 2027

Available to work M-F, 9-6pm, Friday work from home

Strong knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint, proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs

Additional Information The appointed candidate will be offered a salary of $20 per hour, plus potential eligibility to participate in the Company's medical benefits plan, commuter benefits, and 401k plans with employer contributions.
