
We are looking for a Merchandiser for a top apparel company hybrid out of their Culver City, CA offices! This role will assist in product lifecycle management through systems upkeep, data analysis, reporting and sample management to ensure seamless execution of Women’s merchandising strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to positively contribute to, and support, the Merchandising team.
Pay rate: $30.00-$33.00/hr based on experience
Responsibilities Product Management & Merchandising Support
Create weekly and seasonal reports: including top/bottom sellers, price point, sizing, category and competitive analysis, plus ad hoc reporting.
Assist in managing product assortments, including SKU creation, updates, and discontinuations.
Maintain accurate records of product changes, including color, pricing, and delivery updates.
Support the execution of seasonal merchandising strategies and initiatives.
Manage updates of all Merch Tools including, but not limited to; change log, chase log, External Assortment Tools, PLM system, visual guides, etc.
Analyze sales and work with merchant and design team to build seasonal product assortments that grow sales and serve the brand customer.
Data Management & Reporting
Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of product information in merchandising systems.
Ensure chases and changes are accurately captured and executed within internal systems and communicate to involved teams once completed.
Creates UPC’s for new style/colors.
Utilize intermediate Excel functions and merchandising software to conduct data analysis.
Market & Trend Analysis
Studies, knows, and understands consumer preferences and competitor products and prices to support merchant.
Attends local in-store comp shopping trips, compiles team takeaways and photos to present back to leadership team.
Pulls competitor data as it relates to assortments (e.g. style & sku count, pricing).
Meeting & Sample Management
Organize and manage product samples for meetings and presentations.
Take detailed meeting notes, compile recaps, and follow up on action items with stakeholders.
Ensure sample inventory is maintained and organized.
Leadership, Problem-Solving & Team
Operates as back up for RLM and PLM updates.
In season operational support including wholesale price (all divisions) and delivery code updates as well as SMU management in all merchandising systems.
Take initiative in solving challenges related to merchandising operations and product management.
Perform ad hoc projects due to business demand.
Required Qualifications
Previous merchandising experience required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, PLM.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to positively contribute to, and support, the Merchandising team.
