Encompass Health This position is located within the Geisinger Encompass Health outpatient clinic on the campus of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove PA. The Admissions Representative (Outpatient) assumes the responsibility for the coordination of an effective, efficient admission process for all patients in an outpatient setting by receiving referrals, gathering and verifying pertinent information, and completing necessary procedures to schedule and admit outpatients. The position compiles and inputs statistical information into appropriate hospital systems. Responsibilities and Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; post education preferred. Preferred knowledge of third party payors Six months experience or equivalent in hospital admissions preferred Skills and Abilities
Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively. Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner. Ability to work independently without constant supervision. Work Environment
Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment. Occasional outdoor exposure. Exposure or potential exposure to blood and body fluids may be required. Handicapped accessible. May work under stressful circumstances at times. Encompass Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
