FKM strives for business excellence and superior execution with the following critical functions:

Managing the asset bidding and asset acquisition processes

Efficient asset document review using machine learning and optical character recognition

Vetting of assets for any issues with lending laws, taxes, or underlying collateral value

Payment collection, surveillance, and loss mitigation once the asset is purchased

Securitization of loans into bonds and marketing these assets to institutional investors

Job Description and Responsibilities As an Analyst at FirstKey Mortgage, you will help the team expand its analytic and modeling capabilities across all aspects of Cerberus’ Residential Real Estate strategy, from analyzing hard asset and capital markets transactions to supporting operational excellence. Using the team’s tailored data, you will be expected to create reports, model asset performance, and support research projects. You will partner directly with portfolio managers, data scientists, and leaders in our proprietary property management platform to build and execute on investment and operational strategies that create value for clients.

Data Analysis Expertise:

Analyze structured and unstructured data related to residential real estate and property management operations to uncover and display insights that inform investment decisions.

UI and Presentation Design:

Create and support data visualizations via PowerPoint, Python, Tableau, PowerBI.

Strategic Problem Translation:

Skillfully translate business scenarios and investment ideas into succinct data problems by identifying and analyzing key drivers. Seamlessly align business objectives with appropriate cost functions, demonstrating an acute understanding of available data nuances.

End-to-End Project Ownership:

Manage the end-to-end delivery of success criteria, data, algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools. You will be expected to engage from project inception and work with relevant parties to collect, analyze, and output analysis / models for broad consumption. Work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. Your adeptness will ensure efficient problem‑solving and the realization of desired outcomes.

Financial Acumen Development:

Demonstrate a proactive approach to expanding knowledge in investing and real estate fundamentals, leveraging analytical skills to explore market trends and financial concepts.

IT Stack Optimization:

Basic understanding of IT stack to help design, evaluate, and optimize technology solutions including infrastructure, networking, applications, and security to ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives. Work closely with IT teams to set up new system connections such as Snowflake, APIs, MCPs, etc.

Autonomous Multitasking:

Exhibit self-reliance and autonomy while remaining deeply engaged across multiple concurrent projects, showcasing your ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Team Synergy:

Collaborate seamlessly with fellow team members, lending your skills to group projects and promoting a cohesive and productive team dynamic.

Flexibility and Initiative:

Qualifications

0-2 years of work experience or planning to graduate in December 2025 / May 2026 with a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields

Experience with Python, SQL, Git

Experience with Azure, Snowflake, PowerBI, Fabric a plus. Otherwise, can learn in the role

Demonstrated ability to manipulate and summarize large datasets

Highly motivated with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team

Compensation The base salary for this position is expected to be between

$100,000

and

$125,000

annually. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by FKM in its sole discretion. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
