The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.
Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our civil/roadway projects
You’ll be responsible for delivering precise cost estimates that drive competitive, profitable bids, while upholding our commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
Partner with project managers and engineers to analyze plans, specifications, and drawings, identifying cost-driving elements and construction challenges
Use industry-standard tools to develop accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
Craft comprehensive proposals with clear cost breakdowns, timelines, and supporting documentation for client submission
Source and negotiate competitive pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2-7 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the Civil/Roadway sector
