As an outside sales territory manager, you will be on the road meeting with customers, visiting job sites, and building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure continued success. Our sales team values self-starters with problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and effective communication with a diverse customer base. Responsibilities

Learn Victaulic’s products and the solutions they provide, supported by an extensive training program. Understand the industry, including grooved mechanical pipe joining methods and competing methods such as welding and flanging; overcome objections in the field. Develop a business plan with the Regional Sales Manager, including opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion plans, and strategies to maximize sales potential. Execute all phases of project pursuit and project management from inception through design, specifications, drawings, bidding, job-site training and support, final commissioning, and after-sale follow-up. Gather complete information for quotation requests (application, specification, pricing, timing) and lead the inside sales team, engineering and other support staff to meet customer requirements. Build strong relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners in the territory; engage with Victaulic distributors and coordinate with other representatives and regional market specialists to ensure a superior customer experience. Educate customers on the value of Victaulic products, conduct on-site demonstrations or trainings, and deliver presentations to engineers to inform and influence decision-makers and maximize sales potential. Travel as required by the territory, including occasional evenings or weekends for client dinners, events, or other activities as part of relationship-building. Qualifications / Qualities We Seek

Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong preference for experience selling value-added products/services in commercial construction, PVF (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products; training program allows success across diverse backgrounds. Proven record of sales achievements and relationship development; competitive, flexible, and resilient with a growth mindset. Self-motivated, self-driven with minimal supervision; professional image, confident presence, and engaging personality when meeting customers. Strong problem-solving, resourcefulness, creative thinking, organization, time management, and project management skills. Willingness to travel; some territories require heavier overnight travel.
