Job Title: Parks Seasonal

Work is performed under the direction of the Day Camp Directors. Work includes overseeing all staff and participants of Day Camp. Assist Directors with overall flow of Camp and should ensure accountability and support for all Day Camp Staff. Assistant Directors assume the responsibilities of the Director in his or her absence; supervises Summer Day Camp counselors and campers; ensures safety as their number one priority; helps schedule and organize daily activities for campers; ensures scheduling is accurate; maintains excellent communication skills to convey camp procedures to parents and campers; maintains a positive and professional attitude towards co-workers, participants, parents; ensures cleanliness of office space and general organization of supplies for activities; responsible for assisting counselors with classroom management, behavior issues and/or communicating to parents about payments. High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred; experience working with children or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must attend mandatory seasonal orientation and participate in CPR/First Aid Training. CDL License is encouraged. Ability to brainstorm and organize creative activities and games for the campers to participate in, ability to act quickly and effectively in the case of emergency, ability to effectively communicate orally or in written form, ability to be a team player and when needed: the team leader, ability to maintain professional relationships with campers and counselors while mentoring and supervising them, ability to swim and have knowledge about pool safety, ability to follow instructions from supervisor.
