Our client, a nationally recognized leader in disaster recovery and property restoration, is seeking an experienced
Mitigation Manager
to lead field operations and drive excellence in water, fire, and environmental mitigation services. This is a high-impact leadership role for a hands‑on operator who thrives in fast‑paced environments, leads from the front, and understands how to balance operational execution with financial performance. Position Summary
The Mitigation Manager oversees daily mitigation operations, including emergency response, job performance, crew leadership, safety compliance, and profitability. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality service while ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and in alignment with company standards. You will lead field technicians, coordinate with project managers and estimators, and serve as a key point of contact for customers, adjusters, and internal leadership. Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee all mitigation field operations (water, fire, mold, biohazard, storm) Manage job scheduling, crew deployment, and equipment allocation Ensure projects meet scope, quality, and timeline expectations Maintain emergency response readiness (including after‑hours events) Financial Accountability
Manage job costs, labor efficiency, and equipment utilization Review estimates and scope alignment Protect gross margins and control expenses Support revenue growth initiatives Team Leadership & Development
Hire, train, and mentor mitigation technicians and crew chiefs Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching Promote safety, accountability, and a high‑performance culture Ensure certifications and training are current Client & Adjuster Relations
Serve as point of contact for property owners, adjusters, and consultants Maintain strong communication throughout project lifecycle Resolve issues professionally and efficiently Protect and enhance company reputation in the market Compliance & Safety
Enforce OSHA and safety standards Ensure proper documentation and job file compliance Oversee equipment maintenance and inventory control What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in restoration/mitigation 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role Strong knowledge of water, fire, and mold mitigation practices IICRC certifications (WRT required; ASD, AMRT preferred) Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software Strong understanding of insurance‑driven restoration projects Valid driver’s license The Ideal Candidate
Leads from the field, not just the office Understands urgency and thrives in emergency response environments Knows how to protect margins while delivering service excellence Builds loyalty and accountability within crews Communicates confidently with adjusters and clients Compensation & Benefits
