Senior Cybersecurity Analyst (Full‑time). Location: San Diego, CA. Compensation: Not specified. Clearance Level: Top Secret. Summary TRABUS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to support the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I) Director of Cybersecurity. The role involves analyzing and assisting the Director with policy identification and formation, program compliance, and performance evaluation of NAVWAR PEO C4I Program Offices with respect to cybersecurity compliance and related activities. The analyst will identify and mitigate traditional Navy Cybersecurity (RMF) process inefficiencies, analyze and execute changes in Navy cybersecurity and risk management policies, and provide consultation on new constructs affecting cybersecurity, cyber warfare, and operational processes and technologies.
Responsibilities
Assist the NAVWAR PEO C4I Director of Cybersecurity in cybersecurity and RMF policy monitoring, identifying inefficient processes, and streamlining opportunities.
Attend, monitor and assess relevance/tasking from NAVWAR/PEO C4I cybersecurity meetings covering topics such as:
High‑Risk Review boards, CSI CORA support and preparation, Cyber Metrics Working Group, NCSA Working Group, NAVWAR Cyber Hardening Effort, Operational Cyber, Cyber Testing and Evaluation, Cybersecurity Workforce Development and Cyber Warfare Integration.
Assist in resolving identified system vulnerabilities from higher echelon commands (Fleet Cyber Command, Naval Network Warfare Command, C10F, etc.) routinely released in but not limited to EXORDS, FRAGORDS, and TASKORDS.
Track and monitor to completion program office cybersecurity action items promulgated by NAVWAR commander, PEO C4I, PEO Technical Director, and/or the NAVWAR Chief Engineer (CHENG).
Help standardize and track the implementation of DoW and DoN cybersecurity/cyber requirements, guidance and procedures across PEO C4I systems and programs, and assist in designing and reorganizing the cyber workforce (CSWF) to meet future requirements.
Organize and communicate team schedules for optimum coverage of high‑level meetings on behalf of the PEO C4I Cybersecurity Director.
Requirements
10+ years of DoD (or Navy) cybersecurity and RMF experience, working in a fast‑paced DoD/Navy environment.
Experience working in major U.S. Navy programs (Systems Commands, Type Commander, Combatant Commands, etc.).
Experience in obtaining and achieving Authority to Operate (ATO) for system packages through the ATO and RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
Familiarity with NAVWAR Security Controls Assessment‑Liaison (SCA‑L) and the Package Submitting Office (PSO) procedures.
Experience in program management, including Microsoft Power BI (analytics and visualization, metrics representation, and analysis).
Demonstrated abilities to monitor cybersecurity program performance, utilize system optimization techniques and recommend improvements.
Experience with eMASS packages and processes involving vulnerability remediation through current conventional scanning and patching practices.
Familiarity with NAVWAR ISSM/ISSO/ISSE processes for cyber hardening and cyber metric dissemination.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exposure to Lean Six Sigma (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and/or problem solving utilizing the Navy Performance Improvement Education Resource System (NPIERS).
Experience with NAVWAR Systems Engineering, specifically Cyber Test and Evaluation, product development, DevSecOps.
Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering.
Fully adjudicated DoD security clearance – TOP SECRET – required (TS/SCI advantageous).
Desired
Adaptive to changing Management and Navy Echelon I/II reorganizational structures, and broader application and integration of cyber in a Program Acquisition Executive (PAE) stand‑up.
Customer‑focused, team‑oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks.
Proven ability to self‑manage and manage interdisciplinary relationships.
Attention to detail, procedural compliance, and ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Experience with Navy Cyber Inspections conducted by the different agencies across the respective departments (e.g., OCA, IWTG, NAVIFOR, etc.).
Education
