Architectural Designer
in our hybrid Los Angeles
office who will thrive as part of a creative team. We do impressive work for great clients at well-known and well-respected companies and institutions, primarily in the sectors of aerospace, R&D, entertainment and media. We bring inventive design solutions to every project.
Responsibilities
Work proactively with architectural design teams on projects.
Collaborate on projects and contribute to design discussions related to programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction drawings and construction administration.
Share ideas and develop design concepts and generate construction documents.
Work with interior designers in selection of furniture systems and specifications.
Propose ideas and support project team coordination of plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
Contribute to and understand design vision. Work to implement design based upon contractual agreement with client.
Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
Manage time to stay on schedule and within budgets.
Contribute to the coordination with consultants to meet overall project objectives.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Strong communication and relationship management skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications The successful candidate must be able to work well as part of a design team, make immediate contributions and take the initiative to complete work.
2 to 4 years of full-time professional experience as an architectural designer, with a focus on workplace, science + technology or healthcare projects.
Software skills: Strong Revit fluency is mandatory. A high level of experience with Adobe Creative Suite is desired. Enscape and Bluebeam are important.
Detail-oriented with an eye for quality control of project documentation.
Strong knowledge of the design process, including codes and compiling a set of construction drawings.
Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills.
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
Strong organization, time management, communication, and relationship management skills.
Must be local to LA area and be in the office at least twice a week.
Only U.S. citizens or holders of a Permanent Resident Alien card (Green Card) will be considered due to some of our projects being funded by U.S. government contracts.
The full-time position offers a competitive salary, company paid medical and dental coverage, 401K retirement plan, short term and long-term disability insurance. We offer 3 weeks of paid time off. We choose to observe the federal calendar for office closings which is 12 paid holidays including Juneteenth Day. We encourage career growth. The position is hybrid work style with flexible hours. The salary range for qualified candidates is $71,000 to $75,000.
