In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities Are you a passionate and driven designer ready to shape innovative digital experiences? We are seeking an UX/UI Designer with 3+ years of professional design experience. In this role, you’ll harness your creativity and user-centered design skills to collaborate with diverse teams, delivering cutting‑edge, visually engaging, and highly functional digital solutions.

Required education Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred education Master’s Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Professional or University-based design experience with a portfolio representing design artifacts and associated projects; Master degree in Design (i.e UX/UI, Interaction, Service, Communication or Graphic)

Experience working with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), as well as communication and workflow platforms

A Design mindset, championing a user-centred approach, understanding of the principles and methods for human-centred design including user research, rapid ideation and iteration, prototyping, and user testing.

A Creative spirit, passionate about creating innovative interfaces that combines brand guidelines and current digital trends.

Thorough, design-focused, and analytical mindset with the capability to apply logic to solve problems

Attention to details, that you’ll apply to pixel‑perfect, hi‑fi mockups

Ability to conceptualize quickly and present in‑progress work for critique

Ability to work in Atomic Design and Design System environment

Ability to work independently and in a cross‑functional team environment

Superior organizational, problem solving, and time management abilities

Excellent communication, interpersonal, storytelling, and prototyping skills

Fluent in English and Italian, with strong communication skills both in writing and verbally

Attitude and interest in the Consultant field

Passion or base experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence topics

Preferred technical and professional experience

Demonstrated accountability and adaptability with willingness to take ownership of highly challenging tasks and problems

A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view

Effective interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work with individuals, strengthening relationships to achieve win‑win solutions

Possesses deep empathy for users and their needs, humility to recognize the limits of assumptions, and boldness in the conception of solutions

Exposure to Design Thinking, Lean UX or other co‑design methods.
