Purchasing Specialist

The IT Purchasing & Hardware Asset Management Specialist oversees the full lifecycle of technology assets to ensure associates nationwide have the equipment they need while controlling costs. The role involves triaging purchase requests, sourcing competitively priced hardware, and maintaining efficient procurement operations. A key focus is transitioning legacy workflows into a streamlined, automated Hardware Asset Management solution within ServiceNow while balancing daily operations with long-term process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Strong experience in IT operations, procurement, supply chain, or a related corporate function, with the ability to manage high-volume purchasing workflows and collaborate cross-functionally.

Strong technical proficiency with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms, including hands‑on experience navigating modules and fulfilling requests.

Solid understanding of the IT asset lifecycle (Request ? Procurement ? Deployment ? Retirement).

Advanced Excel capabilities, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, large dataset management, and reporting.

Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage repetitive, high-volume tasks accurately and independently.

Strong professional communication skills, with confidence interfacing with technical teams and senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

Industry-recognized certifications such as ITIL v4, ServiceNow CSA, CHAMP, or similar credentials (or actively pursuing).

Strong automation mindset, with exposure to workflow tools such as ServiceNow Flow Designer, Power Automate, or similar platforms.

Proven vendor management skills, including processing and tracking POs, reconciling invoices, and validating contract pricing.
