
RESPONSIBILITIES
A Kforce client is looking for a Purchasing & Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Specialist in the Miami, FL area.
Overview The Purchasing & Hardware Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of IT hardware assets, ensuring employees have the appropriate technology to perform their roles while optimizing cost, inventory utilization, and operational efficiency. This role supports high-volume IT purchasing activities and plays a key part in maintaining accurate asset records, enforcing procurement standards, and improving hardware asset governance.
The Specialist partners closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, and inventory teams to manage requisitions, coordinate with vendors, validate pricing, and resolve invoicing issues. A core focus of the role is supporting the transition from legacy procurement processes to a more automated, standardized Hardware Asset Management solution within ServiceNow. The position balances daily operational execution with continuous process improvement and automation initiatives in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
3-5 years of experience in IT operations, procurement, supply chain, or a related corporate function
End-to-end IT hardware procurement and requisition-to-delivery management
Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and IT asset lifecycle governance
Vendor coordination and third-party supplier management
Purchase order (PO) processing and invoice reconciliation
Inventory management, logistics coordination, and asset optimization
Process improvement and workflow standardization
Data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation
Certifications such as ITIL v4, ServiceNow CSA, or Hardware Asset Management certifications are a plus
Technical Skills
Working knowledge of ServiceNow or a comparable IT Service Management (ITSM) platform
Understanding of the IT asset lifecycle (request, procurement, deployment, retirement)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large dataset management
Exposure to workflow automation or low-code/no-code tools (preferred)
Professional Competencies
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to manage high-volume, repetitive operational tasks independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and leadership
Strategic mindset with the ability to support future-state process improvements
Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced enterprise environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
