Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal
What you will do
As an IP Paralegal, you will play a key role in supportingimec’sintellectual property operations.You’llensure the efficient handling of IP documentation and data, working closely with colleagues in the IP department, inventors, managers, and external legal counsel. Your contribution will helpmaintainaccuraterecords and provide valuable support for strategic IP decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Patent Portfolio Manager with patent filings, patent prosecution, and patent maintenance.
Ensureaccurateand compliant data management within the IP Management System (IPMS), meeting bothimec’sinternal standards and external IP requirements.
Act as the IPMS administrator within a small, collaborative team:
Configure the IPMS to meet departmental needs.
Serve as the primary contact for the IPMS vendor.
Prepare and support internal and external reporting onimec’sIP portfolio.
Communicate effectively with inventors, external legalcounselsand IP stakeholders.

Who you are
You have at least a bachelor’s degree in legal practice, Office Management, AdministrationManagementor Data Management. Experience inIP(patent) administration is an advantage.
You have a strong motivation toacquirethe skills necessary for the role of IP paralegal through on-the-job training and participation in internal and external courses, includingthe EPOEPAC training.
You can work according to the business process.
You have excellent communication skills, written and spoken
You are fluent in English, and a basic knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
You are proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Office Programs, internetresearchand database management.
You have advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
You embrace AI to work smarter and are eager to experiment with new tools.
You can work autonomously, handledeadlinesand manage a fast-paced workload.
You are a good team player.
You areaccurate,proactiveand well organized.
You have an analytical mindset.
