Your role and responsibilities

As a Brand Sales Specialist for IBM's Automation Platform, you will create demand and progress opportunities to close for Automation Platform solutions. This role involves driving sales growth and identifying new business opportunities for a wide range of automation products.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Develop Demand Generation Strategies: Create and execute demand generation plans to drive interest and awareness of Automation Platform solutions among clients and prospects.

• Progress Opportunities: Identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities for Automation Platform solutions, working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

• Solution Selling: Utilize knowledge of Automation Platform products to deliver solution-focused sales pitches, highlighting the value proposition and benefits of each product.

• Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their business challenges and provide guidance on how Automation Platform solutions can address their needs.

• Opportunity Management: Manage and track sales opportunities, ensuring timely progression and closure of deals.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Technical Sales Success: Demonstrated 3-5 years success in technology sales, particularly in expanding existing business and creating new business with clients. Business Acumen and Communication Skills: Possess strong business acumen and effective communication skills. Engaging, Compelling, and Influential Communication: Ability to listen and communicate in an engaging, compelling, and influential manner. Desire to rapidly learn and work in a collaborative culture. Automation Platform Solutions Knowledge: Experience with a broad range of automation products, including App Dev, Integration and Technology Business Management/FinOps. Solution Selling Expertise: Experience in delivering solution-focused sales pitches, highlighting the value proposition and benefits of Automation Platform products to clients. Demand Generation Strategies: Experience with developing and executing demand generation plans to drive interest and awareness of Automation Platform solutions among clients and prospects. Opportunity Management Skills: Experience in managing and tracking sales opportunities, ensuring timely progression and closure of deals. Industry Knowledge: Experience working with clients (Financial Services preferred) to understand their business challenges and providing guidance on how Automation Platform solutions can address their needs.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Broad Automation Knowledge: Familiarity with IBM's Automation solutions - Application Development, Application Integration, Network Management, Security and Asset Lifecycle Management. Experience with a wide range of automation products beyond core Automation Platform solutions, including exposure to adjacent technologies and industry trends. Advanced Solution Selling: Experience in crafting complex solution-focused sales pitches, highlighting the value proposition and benefits of multiple IBM Automation Platform solutions to clients. Industry-Specific Acumen: Experience working with clients in Financial Services, understanding their unique business challenges, and providing tailored guidance on how IBM Automation Platform solutions can address their needs. Familiarity with IBM's Automation solutions - Application Development, Application Integration, Network Management, Security and Asset Lifecycle Management.
