
The Golf Course Attendant position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, helping with golf carts, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the clubhouse, and picking up range balls. This position works at either of the City’s two golf courses, Legacy Ridge or Walnut Creek Golf Preserve. It requires availability to work varied hours including holidays, evenings, early mornings, and weekends.

Disinfects carts, range balls, public areas, and workspace
Cleans golf cart barn, parking lot, clubhouse and clubhouse grounds
Puts out and picks up golf course amenities daily
Opens/closes work area (gates, doors, garages)
Maintains regular and punctual attendance
Arrives on time and ready to work
Arrives in uniform and with ID badge
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Works in a fast‑paced environment
Understands and enforces golf course policies
Conducts oneself in accordance with Club policies as stated in the employee handbook (i.e., ethical standards, harassment, discrimination, drug‑free workplace, and conduct at work)
Incumbent is accountable for all duties of this job, other projects and responsibilities may be added at the City’s discretion
Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses and Certifications Required
Must be at least 16 years of age
A valid driver’s license; provide proof of a safe driving record, and maintain a safe driving record for continued employment
Preferred
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and skills, may be considered
Physical Requirements This position requires a moderate degree of physical stamina and strength. Requirements include:
Frequently sit, stand and walk through a multi‑level facility
Occasionally squat, bend, kneel, twist, climb, balance and reach over head
Occasionally lift, carry, push or pull items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
Frequently use hands and fingers for fine manipulation; occasionally use light and firm grasp
Frequently see objects up close to perform office tasks and far away to observe activity for safety hazards or problems
Constantly use hearing to interact with guests and staff and recognize trouble outside of view
Occasionally use sufficient physical strength, stamina and agility to perform emergency work in various capacities
Be able to stand in heat or cold temperatures for long periods of time
Working Conditions Work performed includes indoor and outdoor activity and exposure to extreme temperatures. Work is performed in a public golf course setting in which instruction and basic golf course maintenance are performed year‑round. Exposure to periods of high activity and stress under demanding conditions.
Required Materials and Equipment Golf carts and driving range equipment used in the daily operation of a golf course, plus other cleaning tools including a power washer and vacuum.
