
This part-time position will lead and manage the full lifecycle of grant activity—from identifying and prioritizing funding opportunities, to drafting compelling proposals and budgets, to submitting timely reports and tracking resubmission deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Grants Research & Strategy
Research public, private, corporate, and family foundation grant opportunities aligned with Waveny’s mission and programs
Maintain and enhance a centralized database of potential funders, deadlines, and giving history
Recommend a grants strategy based on organizational priorities, deadlines, and funder alignment
Proposal Development & Submission
Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials
Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership staff to gather relevant data, outcomes, and budgets
Ensure proposals are tailored, well-written, and submitted on time
Reporting & Stewardship
Track and meet all post-award reporting requirements
Draft narrative and financial reports for funders with accuracy and clarity
Maintain records of grant outcomes and renewal requirements
Identify and manage opportunities for renewed or multi-year support
Administrative Oversight
Maintain grants calendar with submission, reporting, and renewal deadlines
Ensure accurate filing and documentation of all proposals and reports
Monitor and report on progress toward annual grant revenue goals
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or grant writing certification a plus
Proven success writing funded proposals for foundations, corporations, and/or government entities
Exceptional written communication and research skills
Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Familiarity with healthcare, elder care, or human services preferred
Experience with grant management tools or CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce, Excel) a plus
