
West Ridge Hills & Estates is hiring a Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) to lead our assisted living & memory care community in West Saint Paul, MN.
The community is under new ownership and new management. We are building the right leadership structure, strengthening accountability, and setting clear expectations. This role is for a hands‑on leader who understands Minnesota assisted living regulations, financial performance, occupancy management, and team development.

Position Summary The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operations of the assisted living community, including:
Regulatory compliance (MN 144G)
Budget and financial oversight
Staff leadership and retention
Occupancy growth
Resident satisfaction
Survey readiness
This position serves as the licensed leader of the community and is accountable for day‑to‑day performance and long‑term stability.
Responsibilities Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Minnesota Assisted Living regulations (144G)
Maintain survey readiness at all times
Oversee quality assurance, documentation systems, and risk management
Lead state surveys and corrective action processes
Monitor policies and procedures for regulatory alignment
Financial Management
Manage the operating budget and monthly financial performance
Control labor costs and operational expenses
Review P&L statements and adjust strategy as needed
Improve financial performance through strong operational oversight
Leadership & Staffing
Hire, develop, and hold department leaders accountable
Build a professional, stable leadership team
Address performance concerns promptly and appropriately
Promote a culture of clear expectations and follow‑through
Occupancy & Community Relations
Partner with sales and referral sources to support occupancy growth
Maintain strong relationships with hospitals and community partners
Oversee move‑in process and retention efforts
Support reputation management within the West Saint Paul area
Resident Experience
Ensure consistent delivery of quality care and services
Address resident and family concerns in a timely manner
Promote engagement programming and resident satisfaction
Qualifications Required
Active Minnesota LALD license
Leadership experience in assisted living, memory care, or long‑term care
Strong knowledge of Minnesota 144G regulations
Experience managing budgets and operational performance
Ability to lead teams and improve accountability
Preferred
Experience leading a building through state survey
Proven occupancy growth results
Strong operational turnaround experience
Compensation & Benefits
$90,000 – $100,000 annual salary (DOE)
