The Dragas Companies, a well-established residential home builder and developer in the Hampton Roads area, seeks the talents of an experienced

Construction Superintendent

to join our expanding company. The

Construction Superintendent

coordinates all community construction activities and supervises field personnel and trade partners to build high-quality homes and recreational amenities on time and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and supervise the construction of single and multi-family homes to approved plans, specifications, and company standards of excellence.

Maintain home construction schedules.

Authorize payments to trade partners for completed work.

Schedule city inspections.

Perform completed home quality control inspections.

Work with Production Coordinators to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Train and evaluate assigned Dragas field personnel.

Maintain positive, productive relationships with team members and trade partners.

Monitor and enforce job site safety and cleanliness standards.

Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:

High School Diploma, or GED, required

Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential construction supervision.

Extensive technical and practical construction knowledge.

Ability to read and analyze blueprints and other construction documents.

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Proven leadership skills and initiative.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Experience with scheduling software & Microsoft Office suite.

Decisive and work well under pressure.

Experience with integrated construction software is desired.

Demonstrated employment stability and personal financial management

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.

Must be able to climb ladders and stairs repeatedly throughout the workday.

Must be able to work a minimum of 8 continuous hours in exposed weather conditions.

Ability to see within normal parameters.

Ability to hear within normal range.

Full-time

Compensation:

$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
