
Sr. Electrical Estimator (Multifamily Experience)

Position Summary:
The Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for leading the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for multifamily residential electrical projects. This role requires deep expertise in multifamily construction (garden-style, podium, wrap, and high-rise), strong knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to analyze plans, specifications, and project documents to develop competitive and profitable bids.
Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive electrical estimates for multifamily projects ranging from mid-rise to high-rise developments
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, EV charging, site lighting, and life safety systems
Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify scope requirements and risk factors
Develop labor, material, and equipment cost projections based on project scope and historical data
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing
Analyze value engineering opportunities and provide cost-saving recommendations
Lead bid review meetings and present final estimates to executive leadership
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure smooth project handoff
Maintain and update estimating databases, assemblies, and unit pricing
Track bid results and analyze performance for continuous improvement
Identify scope gaps, clarifications, and exclusions to minimize risk exposure
Support design-build and design-assist projects during preconstruction phases
Monitor market trends in labor rates, material pricing, and code changes
