Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a sales leader within the US Federal Civilian organization. The leader will be responsible for building a winning team and driving awareness and adoption of AWS’ global cloud computing platform and services to the US Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
Description Would you like to create business strategies and continue to build a team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of AWS? Do you have the service provider business savvy, government sales experience, and the technical background necessary to help further establish AWS as a leading cloud platform provider within this high growth market?
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead an enterprise sales team
Assign sales territories, set goals and quotas, and ensure proper training programs for the sales team
Manage and coach the sales team to optimal performance
Drive revenue and market share in a defined region
Accelerate customer adoption and customer satisfaction
Maintain a robust sales pipeline
Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption
Manage contract negotiations
Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in quantitative disciplines such as Computer Science, Engineering, and Economics
10+ years of progressive technology implementation experience
7+ years of driving growth through and with cross-functional teams including inside sales, technical, marketing, segmentation, legal (contracts) experience
2+ years of experience as a team lead or manager of an innovative sales team
In-depth experience working with transformative technology including cloud, IoT, business intelligence, analytics
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in sales, inside sales, or business development
Strong leadership skills
Solid technical background in software applications, networking, big data analytic tools, web app development, etc.
Track record for exceeding quota
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Extensive customer network
Holds or be eligible to earn AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification within 90 days of taking the position
Holds or be eligible to earn AWS Tier 2 Speaker Certification within 180 days of taking the position
Security Clearance This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance and ability to obtain DOE Q Clearance.

Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
