All Jobs > Senior Director of Facilities The Senior Director of Facilities provides visionary and strategic leadership for all facilities across the organization. This role is responsible for shaping and executing long‑term facilities strategy, leading major capital projects, and ensuring campuses and buildings are designed, constructed, and maintained to support operational excellence and organizational growth.

This leader brings deep construction and facilities expertise, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to translate vision into functional, sustainable, and high‑quality environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & Facilities Vision

Develop and execute a comprehensive, long‑term facilities and campus expansion strategy aligned with organizational priorities.

Lead projects through planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.

Establish and maintain design vision, aesthetic standards, and facility performance expectations across all campuses and locations.

Provide oversight and direction for all facilities functions, ensuring alignment, consistency, and operational excellence.

Lead asset lifecycle planning to ensure facilities are properly maintained, optimized, and positioned for future needs.

Capital Planning & Major Projects

Lead large‑scale capital projects including new construction, major renovations, and campus expansions from concept through completion.

Own capital planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring responsible stewardship and strategic investment of resources.

Partner with directional leadership team to evaluate opportunities, prioritize projects, and align facilities development with organizational growth.

Provide leadership and oversight to architects, contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality.

System‑Wide Facilities Oversight

Ensure alignment, performance, and consistency across all facilities and campuses.

Establish standards, systems, and processes that drive operational effectiveness and long‑term sustainability.

Provide leadership, direction, and support to facilities teams and leaders across the organization.

Ensure facilities support safe, functional, and welcoming environments for staff and guests.

Requirements SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Proven senior‑level leadership experience in facilities management, construction, real estate development, or related field.

Minimum of five years of construction experience, including at least three years in a leadership role.

Demonstrated success leading large‑scale capital projects including new construction and major renovations.

Strong strategic planning, capital planning, and project management expertise.

Deep knowledge of building systems, construction processes, and asset lifecycle management.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to think strategically while executing operationally.

Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Rock City Church.
