The Senior Sales Analyst role supports the organization by performing activities related to Annual, Quarterly and Monthly Sales planning and reporting. The Senior Sales Analyst is responsible for coordinating analysis and reporting of sales plans, forecasts, and monthly sales reporting as defined by the organization. This role requires being tied into trends, news, and all things Automotive to identify changes required to the portfolio as well as risks and opportunities that exist to both long and short‑term sales. The Senior Sales Analyst will support periodic portfolio reviews with assigned Sales analysts, helping them and the organization understand the sales pipeline at an individual, customer, and organizational level.

This role requires coordination of work for all team members in the department regarding needed data maintenance and analysis as needed. They will participate in the S&OP Process, M&A Activities, and various analysis as needed by the organization as a whole.

The Senior Sales Analyst will also assist and/or lead projects related to system upgrade, data re‑engineering, master data development, and process improvement.

This is a hybrid position (Monday‑Thursday in‑office; Friday remote).

Job Responsibilities

Lead and issue all Global Sales Plans per the organization’s planning requirements

Variance analysis of sales data compared to sales plan, prior years and future years providing context and commentary to the organization

Maintain data within sales systems to ensure proper allocation of industry data to sales results

Analyze the Automotive Industry to ensure that the business opportunities are properly forecasted and risk/opportunities are identified

Quote and portfolio level reviews with the sales team

Lead creation and distribution of all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting

Implementation of new systems and processes, as assigned

Support Data re‑engineering and Master Data creation activities

Enforce Corporate, Customer, and Product Strategy throughout the Sales Planning data and process

Identify and propose continuous improvement of data and processes across the organization

Job Qualifications

5 years experience in related position

Advanced knowledge and business application of the Automotive Industry and Global Economics

Knowledge of Automotive Powertrain business a plus

Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint

Administration, ownership, and upgrade experience of large databases and big data; VBA experience a plus

Ability to create professional looking reports in selected media, applying automation to reporting where possible to create efficiencies

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to lead meetings and keep timelines or project plans

Attention to detail

Training and coordination of work

Licensing or Special Certification Requirements

Valid drivers’ license and passport.

Physical Requirements

Regular and predictable attendance.

Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.

Ability to travel (domestic and international).

Working Conditions

Occasionally lifts and carries up to 10 pounds.

Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.

Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
