About this role: This Digital Product Owner will support the strategy, delivery, and evolution of Carrier’s Abound HVAC Performance (AHP) platform, with a focus on connected equipment connectivity, onboarding, diagnostics, analytics, and emerging AI‑enabled capabilities. The role sits at the intersection of product strategy and technical execution, helping shape what we build, why it matters, and how success is measured.
This role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, UX, and business stakeholders to translate service, operational, and customer needs into clearly defined product initiatives, epics, and outcomes. While this role does not own day‑to‑day backlog management or Jira ticket creation, it plays a critical role in shaping product direction, providing technical and analytical depth, and ensuring alignment between roadmap intent and delivered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strong understanding of product delivery fundamentals, including requirements definition, backlog management, and acceptance criteria.
Ability to translate business, customer, and operational needs into clear user stories and actionable product requirements.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast‑paced, technically complex environment.
Comfort working closely with engineering teams in Agile/Scrum development processes.
Data‑driven mindset for evaluating outcomes, trade‑offs, and feature performance.
Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business, Information
2+ years of experience in product management and/or software engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to connected products, IoT platforms, or cloud‑based systems.
Experience supporting AI‑enabled or data‑driven product features.
Working knowledge of cloud‑based architectures (e.g., AWS) and how they support modern digital products.
Experience working in Agile development environments, using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Familiarity with product design and analytics tools used to support discovery, delivery, and measurement (e.g., Figma).
Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and drive alignment.
