Our client, an apparel company, is looking for an Assistant Kids Designer to join their girls team in NYC!
Key Responsibilities
Maintain fabric organization and prepare purchase orders for materials.
Communicate with factories to track and follow up on showroom sample development.
Support the design team throughout the full product development lifecycle.
Identify and source trims and materials from international vendors.
Help senior designers prepare and organize line sheets.
Revise and maintain tech packs, including labels and trims, for both development and production.
Review samples with senior designers and send production approval feedback to vendors.
Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in fashion design, ideally with a girls/kids focus.
Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Solid knowledge of garment construction and patternmaking principles.
Familiarity with print layout is a plus.
Experience with 3D tools and AI-based design platforms required.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to adjust priorities quickly.
Clear communicator who collaborates effectively with design and production partners.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
