
Overview
The Community Giving & Donor Engagement VISTA will help build efficient, scalable individual giving systems, with a focus on increasing the number of sustaining (monthly) donors. This role does not involve asking for donations or managing donor relationships. Instead, the VISTA will design, test, and document high-ROI, low-lift systems that staff and board members can execute—aimed at generating at least 50 new sustaining donors annually. Member Duties
Apply existing fund development plans and consultant recommendations to operational systems; Shadow staff to observe donor engagement and stewardship workflows; Conduct targeted research on high-ROI sustaining donor models used by peer organizations; Facilitate listening sessions with donors and board members to gather insights; Design sustaining donor acquisition and retention systems that minimize staff time; Design a flagship high-net-worth donor cultivation event framework (strategy and playbook only); Support real-world pilots of donor systems for learning and evaluation; Document all systems, tools, and learning in the Development Handbook
