What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist in setting up community engagement and professional development events
Contribute to administrative tasks and manage lab/classroom environments
Supervise students during the Summer Science Camp while staying in campus dorms
Collaborate with the Wisconsin Science Festival and Science Expeditions
Handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining professionalism
What is Required (Qualifications):
Must be a UW‑Madison student
Experience in science communication, public speaking, teaching, or research is preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills are a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Relevant experience in event planning or educational programming
Familiarity with community engagement initiatives
Previous involvement in science-related activities or organizations
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
