is currently seeking an NCLEX and Student Retention Coordinator, Temporary/Interim for the Vocational Nursing Program at our Sacramento, CA Campus. This is an on-campus position at our Sacramento Campus. Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs. Annual Salary Range , Full-time: $89,000 – $110,000 Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Flexible Spending Accounts (Health, Dependent Care, Transit & Parking) Health Savings Account (HSA) with enrollment in a qualified medical plan Paid time off Basic Function The primary function of the NCLEX and Student Retention Coordinator, Temporary/Interim requires a working knowledge of advising, retention, and student success strategies. Knowledge of the mission and philosophy of the school of nursing is important. The position requires a collaborative partnership with the VN Program Director, VN Staff and Faculty, and Student Services Department. Requirements Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of California A baccalaureate degree or master’s degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing, natural, behavioral or social sciences relevant to nursing practice as defined in CCR Section 1425(d) Three (3) years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last 5 years Teaching experience is preferred Preferred knowledge of the educational process at other institutions Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other characteristics protected by any applicable law.
