About the Position This is advanced administrative work focused on licensing and registration functions within a state agency. The position involves performing a wide range of administrative and customer service responsibilities in support of the agency’s licensing and boat registration operations. Work requires frequent interaction with the public and is carried out in accordance with established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures under the supervision of an administrative superior. Key responsibilities include interpreting and applying applicable statutes, rules, regulations, and policies; providing information and guidance to the general public and statewide agents; and coordinating point-of-sale licensing and registration activities with agents across the state. The incumbent assists customers with purchasing or renewing hunting, fishing, and specialized licenses, as well as registering boats. Additional duties include reviewing and evaluating applications and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with licensure or registration requirements, researching and resolving administrative issues, discrepancies, or complaints, and coordinating licensing and registration activities with other agency divisions. The role also includes assisting with investigative reporting for accountability purposes, auditing accounts and sales transactions for compliance, verifying and balancing deposits for license and registration fees, and compiling and maintaining statistical and financial records. Other related duties may be performed as assigned.
