Position Overview
We’re seeking a part-time social media manager to help us build Remento into a storytelling brand, not just a product. You will shape how we show up in the world by turning real family experiences into content that resonates deeply, sparks conversation, and drives meaningful growth. Partnering closely with our founders, product team, and paid marketing lead, you will own our organic social presence and transform it into a narrative engine that influences both brand perception and performance marketing outcomes. This is a hands-on role. You will not be managing an agency. You will be in the work. Interviewing customers. Writing scripts. Pulling clips. Testing hooks. Reading comments. Iterating quickly. You will help prospective customers feel the emotional weight of Remento before they ever make a purchase. The ideal candidate thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is constant. You are energized by building from zero, experimenting in public, and shipping quickly without waiting for perfect conditions. You know how to translate that emotional depth into content that earns attention, trust, and shares. Key Responsibilities
Develop and ship narrative-driven content across core platforms, turning real customer experiences into high-impact posts that drive engagement, saves, shares, and meaningful conversation. Capture video content including customer interviews, founder storytelling, and product moments. Edit short-form and long-form content natively for each platform, optimizing hooks, pacing, and emotional impact. Mine interviews, testimonials, and product insights to surface the emotional “aha” moment families experience. Create formats, themes, and creative testing frameworks that consistently generate learnings for both organic growth and paid amplification, with particular emphasis on gifting and legacy-driven narratives . Ship quickly, iterate based on performance data and feedback, collaborate closely with paid and product, and take full ownership of results without waiting for perfect briefs or ideal conditions. Skills & Experience
Proven experience growing and managing organic social channels, with clear examples of content that drove engagement, conversation, and measurable business impact. Strong video production skills, including shooting high-quality content on scrappy setups and editing platform-native short-form video with tight hooks, strong pacing, and emotional resonance. Exceptional storytelling ability, able to distill long-form interviews and customer insights into concise, compelling narratives that make people feel something. Comfort operating in ambiguity within an early-stage startup environment, with a demonstrated bias toward action and rapid experimentation. Deep understanding of how organic and paid social work together, with experience using organic performance data to inform creative strategy and paid amplification. This is a part-time role, approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility in how those hours are structured. We care far more about ownership, output, and impact than rigid schedules. We would love to see you in our Culver City, Los Angeles office to film with founders, capture product moments, and create original storytelling content. 20 hours per week, with a pathway towards full-time based on performance Compensation based on experience Who Will Thrive (And Who Won’t)
✅ You’ll thrive if. .. you are energized by building in public, comfortable being both the strategist and the creator, and excited to personally shoot, edit, and publish content. You have strong storytelling instincts, a sharp eye for emotionally resonant moments, and a bias toward action. You care deeply about meaning, legacy, and connection, and you want your work to move people, not just generate impressions. You might struggle if... you prefer structured environments with detailed briefs; your primary experience is overseeing teams rather than creating yourself; or you are uncomfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and the intensity of a startup where the standard is high and the feedback is direct.
