The Manager of Social Media & Digital Content enhances The Dollywood Company’s marketing efforts by serving as the face and voice of the brand across social media and other digital platforms. This role leads the team responsible for content creation, copywriting, and community insight development for Dollywood’s digital channels. The position drives strategic initiatives while guiding day-to-day execution across organic social media, web content, and email, strengthening Dollywood’s digital presence. By bridging strategy and execution, the manager develops and oversees effective digital content plans that increase brand visibility, drive audience engagement, and ensure alignment with company goals and regional branding.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The Regional Manager of Social Media & Digital Content will lead strategic initiatives and guide daily execution to enhance our digital presence by focusing on organic social media channels, web content, and the customer journey email program

Developing and oversee a team responsible for executing effective digital strategies and will focus on enhancing brand visibility and driving audience engagement, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and branding within the region

The manager will bridge strategy and execution to effectively implement content plans.

Develop and lead the regional social media and digital content strategy to drive brand visibility and improve audience engagement, aligning with company goals and branding within the region

Lead and manage a team of digital content managers, each responsible for a distinct function, to ensure effective execution aligned with strategic goals

Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to align strategic objectives and execution

Monitor, analyze and implement organic social media performance metrics to inform strategic adjustments and enhance campaign effectiveness, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met

Guide editorial planning to ensure consistent and strategic delivery across all channels

Stay updated on emerging social media trends and best practices to continuously refine and advance content strategies

Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment

Other

When needed, facilitate site visits at all properties for members of the media, including print, broadcast and digital

Identify ways to increase awareness of the Dollywood brand across social, digital and traditional media story placement through videos, photos, comments and more.

As a public face of The Dollywood Company, you will promote the various properties in various settings

Support the Dollywood Marketing plan by being a dedicated team player, approaching tasks with an open mind, embracing creative thinking, and respecting the ideas of other team members

Assist as needed with major PR publicity events including, but not limited to, product announcements, Dolly Parton appearances, park openings, media endearment events, industry events, media production/on-site photo/video shoots

Education and Experience Required

Minimum 18 years of age

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Media, Social Media Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field

3-5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the entertainment, hospitality, or attractions industry

Proven leadership and team management experience

Proven experience and track record of effectively communicating information and ideas in written format, specifically as it relates to blogs, social media postings, and website content

Deep understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and best practices

Demonstration of strong editing skills

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset

Proven experience with common office software such as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Must have a valid TN Driver’s License with current automobile insurance and be able to drive company vehicles as required

Must successfully complete a background check including motor vehicle and pre-employment drug screen

Ability to move, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

Lifting and Carrying:

Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting

Mobility:

Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces

Repetitive Movements:

This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions

Environmental Conditions:

This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors

Cognitive and Sensory Requirements:

This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods
