
Overview
New Haven Country Club is seeking a seasonal, entry‑level Assistant Golf Professional for the 2026 season. This position is ideal for a motivated individual beginning their career in the golf industry who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a high‑quality member experience. The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the Head Golf Professional and Golf Staff while gaining hands‑on experience in all aspects of daily golf operations.
Primary responsibilities include:
Assisting with the daily operation of the Golf Shop
Supporting merchandising efforts, including organizing and displaying inventory
Providing a friendly and professional presence while interacting with members and guests
Assisting with the preparation and execution of club tournaments and events
Learning and supporting day‑to‑day golf operations
Communicating and reinforcing club policies such as pace of play, dress code, and course guidelines
Participating in member engagement opportunities, including playing golf with members when appropriate
Opportunities to assist with and develop teaching skills through private and group instruction, including junior and ladies programs
This position offers a strong learning environment for an aspiring golf professional looking to build foundational experience in a private club setting.
The seasonal role will begin in Spring 2026 and conclude between September 30 and December 15.
Experience Required Proper candidate is expected to have prior experience working in golf course services.
Essential Responsibilities Proper candidate will be elevated to the Second Assistant Professional for the 2027 season.
