Overview

We are more than a Parts Store and are looking for great talent to join our NAPA family. As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person for customers entering our stores for automotive needs. You should have a background and knowledge of automotive parts. This role is suitable whether you plan to build a long-term career with us as a Parts Specialist, want to work full-time or part-time, or simply want to explore other opportunities within the company. What you will be doing

Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter and over the phone Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members with customer questions Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the NAPA Store Bring customer focus and high energy to a fast-paced store Welcome retail customers and engage to provide a positive consumer experience Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system What you’ll need

Valid driver’s license Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn all things auto parts High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment Great listening skills and empathy for customers Nice to have (not a deal breaker if you don’t)

Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm equipment, diesel, marine, or dealership Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems Customer-centric approach (external/internal) ASE Certifications What’s in it for you

Pay progression may apply, with some roles starting at a set rate and reaching the top end of the range within 12 months of hire. The starting rate for other positions will be based on individual skills, experience, and qualifications.
