is hiring a Compliance Specialist in Hampden.

Join our team as a Compliance Specialist! About the Role: Maine Savings FCU is looking for a Compliance Specialist at our Hampden location. As a Compliance Specialist, you can expect to support internal and external members in working through various compliance functions, including BSA related items, routine reporting needs, and data integrity. You can also expect to work through assigned tasks with a high level of insight and awareness, accuracy and efficiency, and diligence in reporting compliance‑related trends to the Compliance Manager.

What You’ll Do:

Review daily reports, comparing information in the Symitar core to associated reports, ensure accuracy of the account structure and signed documentation is in order, notate any exceptions and work with internal members to get any missing items, clear exceptions as the items are submitted.

Perform all BSA‑related duties, including but not limited to CTRs and SARs.

Analyze documents, including but not limited to POAs and guardianships, as well as those associated with specialty accounts, prior to account opening or for any subsequent modifications, ensuring that the request(s) made from the member are able to be completed.

Dedicate time weekly to continued learning, including but not limited to regulatory training, process and procedures, systems and applications, industry‑related knowledge, and products and services.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience preferred.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first‑level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills: Must be efficient in the use of financial specific applications, and various technologies that compliment day‑to‑day and task‑oriented duties. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
