Position Overview We are seeking a creative and community-minded
Social Media Marketing
professional to help promote a retail business serving thecommunity. This is a remote, part-time role ideal for someone who understands local engagement, digital storytelling, and how to turn online visibility into in-store traffic and brand loyalty.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and excited about helping a growing retail business strengthen its presence across social media platforms. This role focuses on increasing brand awareness, promoting products and promotions, and building meaningful connections within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a social media strategy
tailored to a local retail audience
Create engaging content , including posts, captions, graphics, reels, and stories
Promote products, seasonal campaigns, sales, and in-store events
Highlight community involvement and customer experiences
to strengthen brand identity
Maintain a consistent posting schedule
through a structured content calendar
Engage with followers , responding to comments and messages professionally and promptly
Monitor analytics and performance metrics
to improve reach and engagement
Collaborate with store leadership
to align marketing efforts with business goals
Research local trends and hashtags
to increase visibility within the Brooklyn community
Assist with basic paid advertising campaigns
if needed
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant platforms
Creative eye for content and branding
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Familiarity with analytics tools and performance tracking
Experience promoting retail or local businesses is a plus
Passion for community engagement and small business growth
