
What We Look For...
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Travel Sales Manager responsible for selling all business travel for Hi-Lo Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott. Develop new locally negotiated rate agreements for business and manage that relationship, work on all target accounts to increase market fair share; negotiate all group contracts/blocks for corporate groups. Ensure that all new business and ongoing customer relationships are maintained to ensure that all revenue, room night and solicitation goals are met or exceeded. Move business from competing hotels to Hi-Lo Hotel through consistent and creative sales effort.
The Key Responsibilities:
Maximize revenue by implementing sales and marketing approach to selling all corporate markets of the hotel, using effective written and oral communication.
Maintain key sales strategies for hotel and prime selling time.
Conduct outside sales calls to all potential prospects.
Review competition constantly for leads and ideas.
Conduct contract negotiations.
Take all brand required training for brand knowledge, property management systems, rates and inventory system.
Become the expert on managing group corporate group blocks - building LNR accounts/profiles - and managing that inventory in conjunction with the Revenue Manager
Utilize all tools such as Agency360+ and Ci/Ty for solicitation efforts.
Prepare information for, meet and entertain clients as appropriate. Conduct hotel site inspections.
Works with hotel GM, Revenue Manager and Director of Sales maximize all rate, date and space commitments, ensuring highest yield for total hotel. Be accountable for all blocks and space commitments, maintaining communications with clients and revising as appropriate.
At all times project a favorable image of the hotel to the public.
Perform all duties and responsibilities asked of you in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Perform any other job duties as requested by the Director of Sales and Hotel GM to achieve position success.
The Model Qualifications:
Experience in the local Portland hospitality industry a must
3-5 years' experience in sales - preferably Business Travel Sales
3+ years hotel/hospitality experience
Knowledge of Ci/Ty, Opera & MS Office is helpful.
