Overview
Battleground Country Club (Private Club; located in Manalapan, NJ) is seeking a Seasonal 1st Assistant Golf Professional to join our team for the 2026 season and beyond. The successful candidate will assist the Head Professional in all aspects of the Golf Operation, including tournament operations, Pro Shop management, providing private and group lessons, and providing the highest levels of customer service to all members and guests.
Availability: The 1st Assistant Golf Professional should be available to work flexible hours; mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the Club's Calendar and tournament schedule.

This position is a great place to learn all facets of the golf business. You will get hands on experience in every aspect of the golf operation from cart fleet management to year-end budgeting and everything inbetween.
Battleground CC is part of the Concert Golf Properties (CGP) Network of private country clubs spread across the country. With CGP you have the opportunity for growth and internal movement within its 40+ properties. Expected Start Date: March 15, 2026 Expected End Date: December 31, 2026
Experience Required Golf industry experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Essential Responsibilities Job Duties Include (but not limited to);
Provide all members and guests with the highest levels of customer service
Day‑to‑day operations (opening and/or closing the Pro Shop, daily tee sheet and sales reconciliation)
Assist the Director of Outside Ops. with oversight of day-to-day duties of bag room staff
Co‑Lead Ladies League and Ladies/Mixed Tournament Schedule
Provide support during Men's Tournaments (scoring, pace of play, posting results, etc.)
Help maintain the golf portion of the Club's website
Daily inventory and retrieval of all "Demo Clubs" given out to members
Maintenance of Members' Handicaps using GHIN/USGA Admin site
Assist with Pro Shop management duties (including, inbounding and displaying merchandise, inventory control and special orders)
Experienced candidates: Private and Group Lessons (100% Income)
Assist the Head Professional and other Assistant Professionals with all aspects of the Golf Operation
