About the Role
The Sales Manager is a dynamic, results-driven hospitality sales professional responsible for generating revenue and building strong client relationships for the hotel. This role works collaboratively within the Sales & Operations teams to meet and exceed sales goals across assigned market segments and contributes to overall financial success and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the hotel’s products, services, and facilities to prospective clients and corporate customers.
Generate room revenue and drive sales through strategic planning and execution of sales initiatives.
Identify, source, and cultivate new business opportunities within assigned target markets.
Maintain and grow business with existing accounts through effective relationship management.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and rates in accordance with Hyatt standards and revenue strategies.
Follow up on potential business leads promptly and track progress using CRM systems (e.g., STS, Delphi).
Attend networking and industry events to raise the hotel’s profile and expand market reach.
Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize yield, pricing, and displacement strategies.
Maintain accurate account forecasts, activity reports, and sales records.
Qualifications
Experience:
Typically
3–5+ years
of hotel sales experience, preferably in a
Hyatt brand or luxury hospitality environment .
Education:
A bachelor’s degree (e.g., hospitality, business, marketing) is often
preferred
but may vary by posting.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hospitality CRM systems (e.g., STS, Delphi, CVENT).
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up efficiently on tentative business leads.
Teamwork:
Collaborates effectively with internal teams and contributes positively in a competitive environment.
