
A Democratic candidate running in the June 2026 Primary for a highly-competitive New York State Legislative Campaign is seeking a highly organized, strategic Campaign Manager. This is a full-time position and senior leadership role responsible for building, executing and managing the full campaign operation — including field, fundraising coordination, compliance oversight, staff and volunteer management, and daily operations — through Primary Day in June 2026.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and execute the overall campaign plan, timeline, and performance benchmarks through the June 2026 primary
Manage day-to-day campaign operations and serve as the candidate’s primary operational and strategic advisor
Build and oversee a comprehensive voter contact program, including canvassing, phone banking, texting, relational organizing, and events
Recruit, train, and supervise organizers and volunteers; establish weekly voter contact goals and accountability systems
Direct petitioning and ballot access operations in compliance with New York election law
Coordinate candidate scheduling and ensure effective use of candidate time between field, fundraising, and public appearances
Support and manage the candidate’s fundraising program, including call time tracking and pledge follow-up
Track campaign metrics and adjust tactics based on performance and data
Coordinate with the treasurer or compliance vendor to ensure accurate and timely campaign finance filings and monitor the campaign budget
Serve as liaison to party organizations, labor unions, political clubs, elected officials, and community stakeholders; manage endorsement outreach
Work with communications staff or consultants to align messaging, events, and earned media opportunities
Qualifications
1–3+ campaign cycles of experience (state legislative or comparable race preferred)
Experience managing staff or leading a voter contact program
Strong familiarity with NGP VAN (or similar voter database systems)
Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and deliver on numeric goals
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends
Knowledge of New York political landscape strongly preferred
