About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Freight Broker/National Account Manager with a proven book of business to join our growing Brokerage team in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. (Remote agents with a book will be considered) This role is ideal for a proven and tenured logistics professional who excels at customer relationships, carrier management, and consistently driving profitable revenue. This unique position is tailored towards a Sr Account Manager/Freight Broker Executive who is seeking to grow and scale their accounts without the limitations of corporate oversight, micromanagement and non-competes. What You’ll Do Onboard, Manage and grow an existing book of shipper accounts Source, negotiate, and secure carrier capacity across multiple modes w/ the help of our ops teams Provide end-to-end freight solutions while maintaining strong service levels Build long-term customer and carrier relationships Actively Prospect across multiple channels and rekindle previous relationships Negotiate rates to maximize margin and profitability Track shipments and proactively resolve issues Collaborate with operations and leadership to scale your business Assist in the growth and development of future employees Contribute your Logistics Experience to the growth of the company and beyond
What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) Active/previously active, portable book of business (required) Strong understanding of freight brokerage operations and the OTR Logistics Market (required) Proven ability to negotiate rates with shippers and carriers alike Experienced in creating and submitting RFP's, pricing freight lanes and taking ownership of business development Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset Experience with managing a load board via TMS systems, Macropoint, DAT and other industry tools

Compensation Offerings At Vista, nothing is cookie cutter. Each individual who is hired, is offered a compensation package unique to their experience, business and needs. Qualified Brokers are offered 1099 compensation packages with high commission splits. (W2 can be negotiated) Typical Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $120,000 (dependent on Book of business/ agents needs) Commission Range After 90 days: 35% - 55%
Additional Compensation Types: Qualified Brokers have the option to take a draw, and earn up to 100% Commission the first 30 days as they onboard their book, with a sliding scale:
2nd month 80% | 3rd month 60% | 4th month and on Up to 45%
(Commissions Paid on Gross Profits after factoring+insurance costs at 1.9%)
Potential Base Pay Range for actively managed books: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
