A progressive regional water treatment company is looking for an experienced water treatment chemical sales representative for sales and service of water treatment chemicals (and associated equipment) in their
Greater San Antonio based territory . Rep will take over an existing territory and focus on new and existing customers in the mid-sized manufacturing ,commercial, institutional markets. Rep will focus on chemicals used in boiler, cooling tower and closed loop systems in the territory. Majority of time is available for new busniess development. Very limited overnight travel required
Specific responsibilities will include:
Day to day management of existing assigned accounts
Development of new sales through cold calling and networking
Maintain effective communications with client and company management
Maintain industry knowledge through training and online programs
Management of technical support team, when assigned.
Company offers a starting package of 105-125K (base plus existing commisions), an excellent commission plan on new sales, company car, expenses, home based office (cell phone/laptop) and comprehensive benefits package.
Company is looking for someone with the following qualifications:
4 year degree in a technical field highly desired but will consider industry experience in lieu of education
At least 4 years of direct industrial water treatment chemical experience
Ability to work well with little supervision
Strong mechanical aptitude
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to write intelligent technical reports in a timely fashion
