Sales Engineer-Earthworks
to support infrastructure and utilities customers across critical sectors, including energy, oil & gas, transportation, dams, levees, and other civil infrastructure environments.
About the Job As the
Sales Engineer, Earthworks , you will combine civil engineering credibility with strong sales execution.
You will work alongside the Territory Sales Manager to advance complex infrastructure deals, support technical evaluations, and drive long-term account growth across utilities and infrastructure operators.
This is a sales-focused role requiring hands-on understanding of infrastructure assets and the ability to engage both engineers and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Sales to advance complex infrastructure opportunities
Support technical validation and Proof of Concept engagements
Identify expansion opportunities within infrastructure and utilities accounts
Support renewals and long-term commercial success
Infrastructure Expertise
Engage directly with infrastructure operators (energy, oil & gas, dams, levees, transportation, utilities)
Translate engineering challenges into clear business value
Lead technical discovery and scoping sessions
Support onboarding and successful deployment
Lead QBRs focused on operational risk reduction and ROI
Provide structured field feedback to Product and Engineering
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Time to Value (TTV):
Speed of technical onboarding and delivery of the First Insight.
Adoption Rate:
Percentage of customers and partners actively using key product features.
Customer Health Score:
Technical satisfaction and delivery success are measured through QBRs.
Technical Proficiency:
Partner certifications completed and the effectiveness of technical enablement.
Project Success:
Rate of on-time and successful deployments.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or another engineering discipline.
3–5+ years in Sales Engineering, Account Management, or commercial engineering roles
Experience working with utilities or infrastructure operators (energy, oil & gas, transportation, dams, levees, etc.)
Experience in enterprise or B2G sales environments
Strong commercial orientation and revenue-driven mindset
Willingness to travel up to 50–60%
Advantages
