Position Overview Westbrook Toyota is hiring an experienced Used Car Manager / Buyer to lead our pre‑owned operation. This role is ideal for a process‑driven automotive professional who can source inventory, work directly with customers, and lead by example while developing a high‑performing sales team.
Responsibilities
Source and acquire used vehicles through trades, direct purchases, auctions, and internal prospecting
Appraise vehicles accurately and competitively
Manage pricing, merchandising, and inventory turn
Work with customers on appraisals, purchases, and deal structuring
Train, mentor, and hold sales staff accountable to dealership processes
Utilize DMS and CRM systems to prospect for trade, equity, and purchase opportunities
Partner with Sales and F&I to maximize profitability and compliance
Demonstrate leadership through professionalism, customer engagement, and accountability
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Used Car Manager and Buyer
Strong appraisal and inventory management skills
Finance & Insurance experience is a plus
Ability and willingness to deliver vehicles when needed
Process‑oriented with strong follow‑up and organizational skills
Comfortable working directly with customers
Working knowledge of dealership DMS, CRM, and lead management platforms
Proven ability to coach, train, and lead sales professionals
