The Senior Loan Processor will be responsible to assist in the daily activities of the Bank Operations team within the Operations Department; consisting of supporting the Loan and Branch Operations, Compliance, Lending, IT, Deposit and Finance areas. Job Responsibilities
Ability to monitor and post loan related transactions to clear General Ledger loan suspense accounts as required; Ability to service and monitor participation loans to ensure accuracy of fees, rates, rollovers, borrowings and notifications of all parties; Answer general customer and account inquiries and perform research as required; Conduct pre-funding reviews for mortgage loan purchases and assembling supporting documentation into loan files; Coordinate all loan advances and initial loan closing funds with Lending Department; Ensure loan servicing compliance with internal controls, credit policies and regulatory requirements; Ensure timely review and/or processing of UCC renewals and requests for payoffs; Enter all loan details into Bank’s loan servicing software; process related general ledger entries; Maintenance and reporting on loan file documentation requirements per banking regulations; Monitor and input to loan system, to include payments, loan advances, repayments, various fees, rollovers, rate changes and resets; Monitor past due, note balance, tracking and loan exception reports and issuance of selected management loan reports; Perform quality control on new and renewal loan set up information on the loan system to ensure accurate reflection of the legal documents and credit approval documents as well as the initial funding and subsequent loan activity; Perform reconciliation of related loan general ledger accounts; Periodic review, update and reporting of supplemental documentation requirements in loan files; Prepare and process loan payments on a daily basis; Prepare monthly principal and accrued interest reconciliations of purchased mortgage loan portfolio; Process file maintenance as required for due to reviews from Credit/Risk, Audit, Loan Review and system upgrades and/or changes to the system; Process loan setup and funding of loans and reimbursement requests of funds, according to loan approval terms; Responsible for all customer inquiries concerning commercial real estate escrow analysis, real estate tax payments, mortgage payment status, late charges, property and flood insurance; Review monthly loan billings, identify issues to be escalated to manager and ensure mailing occurs. Secondary Responsibilities in Operations Department:
Provide backup support within the Operations Department in the areas of Deposits, Wire Transfers and IT; Other duties as may be assigned. Requirements
Education and Experience
Preferred 3-5 years of related experience-commercial and consumer loan servicing (including residential loans) and adherence to credit policy guidelines; Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Minimum of three years in a client focused, business environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Experience with bank compliance and credit policy helpful; Experience with commercial loan documentation; Experience with loan system preferred. Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated capability and familiarity with Microsoft products utilizing Excel and Word; Strong customer service and organizational skills; Effective communication skills both oral and written in order to provide excellent customer service; Excellent time management and interpersonal skills; Must be detail-oriented in order to ensure high levels of data integrity; Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks; Analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to ensure expedited problem resolution; Must be an effective team-player.
